Carl Davis, 48, died this morning in a crash on Thomasville Road, according to Officer David McCranie, spokesman for the Tallahassee Police Department. It happened about 6:50 a.m. at Thomasville Road and Live Oak Plantation Road. According to the preliminary investigation, Davis was traveling south on Thomasville, while a motorist, Rachel Weaver, 20, was traveling east on Live Oak. Weaver, who was driving a 1997 Toyota Camry, attempted to turn left onto Thomasville, and Davis, riding a 1999 Triumph motorcycle, struck her driver's side door.
