A Florida A & M student was killed and three other injured in a single-car crash on Interstate 10 in Suwannee County early Sunday morning.

The girl that was killed was not wearing a seat belt and that contributed to the cause of her death, according to an official with the Florida Highway Patrol.

“There’s definitely a correlation between wearing a seatbelts in a rollover crash,” Trooper Riordan said, noting that the driver, who was wearing a seat belt, only had minor injuries.

This story confirms, once again, the importance of the use of safety belts. For more information on this and other safety issues, visit our web site: http://www.injuryboard.com/help-center/articles/preventing-an-auto-accident.aspx
